Road Closures: Great Bristol Run 2024
04:00–17:00, 19 May 2024

Various roads in and around Central and Broadmead areas of Bristol will be closed between 04:00 and 17:00 on Sunday 19 May to facilitate this year’s Great Bristol Run.
The following roads will be closed between the above hours unless stated.
Hotwell Road towards Ashton only (open 13:30), Hotwell Road towards
Bristol will remain open. Areas closed are Baldwin Street, Broad Quay,
Broadweir, Broadmead, Lower Castle Street, Colston Avenue, College Green,
Park Street, Counterslip, Redcliffe Way, Redcliff Hill, Prince
Street, Victoria Street and Wine Street.

Various roads in and around Central and Broadmead areas of Bristol will be closed between 04:00 and 17:00 on Sunday 19 May to facilitate this year’s Great Bristol Run.

Services 1 and 2: Will divert via Temple Way, Bond Street South, St James Barton Roundabout, Marlborough Street and Park Row

Services 3 and 4 heading towards Broadmead will operate normal route as far as
the top of Park Street then divert via Park Row, Marlborough Street, St James
Barton roundabout, Haymarket, Bridewell Street, Nelson Street and
terminate at Lower Union Street.

Services 3 and 4 heading towards Cribbs Causeway from Rupert Street will divert
via St Johns Bridge onto Lewins Mead, Marlborough Street and Park Row to
resume normal route as the top of Park Street

Service m1: Divert from Bedminster Bridge via Clarence Road, Temple Meads, Temple Way, Old Market, Bond Street South, St James Barton Rdt, Haymarket, Rupert St, St Johns Bridge, Lewins Mead. (same in reverse)

Service m3 & m4: Services will terminate and commence from Lewins Mead.

Services T1 & Y1: Services will terminate and commence from the Bus Station.

Service Y6: Divert from Park Street via Park Road, BRI, St James Barton rdt to the Bus Station.

North Somerset to Bristol: Services will operate usual route and divert via Jacobs Wells Road, Clifton Triangle, Park Row, Marlborough Street to the Bus Station.

Bristol to North Somerset: The Haymarket, Bear Pit Bond Street, Bound Street South, Temple Way, Temple Meads Station, Bath Bridges, York Road, Bedminster Bridge, Coronation Road, Brunel Way.

From 13:30 services can divert from Bus Station via Haymarket, Marlborough
Street, Park Row and Jacob Wells Road to resume normal route at Hotwell
Road. No stops served between Bus Station and Winterstoke Road

U2: St James Barton roundabout then normal route to Rupert Street. From Rupert Street, right into St Johns Bridge onto Lewins Mead.

Service 5 and Newport Shuttle heading towards Clifton will divert via St James Barton Roundabout, Marlborough Street, Park Row to resume normal routes at the top of Park Street.

Service 5 heading towards St Anne's and Newport Shuttle will divert from top of Park Street via Park Row, Marlborough Street, St James Barton roundabout,
(Newport Shuttle resume normal route) onto Bond Street then around the Newfoundland Road gyratory onto Bond Street South, slip road onto Old Market roundabout.

Services 8 & 72 heading towards Clifton and UWE are to operate normal route
as far as the end of Bond Street then divert via the second exit off of St James
Barton roundabout into Marlborough Street past the BRI onto Park Row to
resume normal routes at the top of Park Street.

Services 8 & 72 heading towards Temple Meads will operate normal route as
far as the top of Park Street then divert via Park Row, Marlborough Street
onto St James Barton roundabout, second exit onto Bond Street then around
the Newfoundland Road gyratory onto Bond Street South and take the slip
road onto Old Market roundabout to resume normal routes.
